The first call for financial support for civil society organizations in Serbia under the “Together for Active Civil Society” (ACT) program has been published.

The deadline for submitting project proposals is May 13, 2020.

The “Together for Active Civil Society” (ACT) program was designed as a four-year support to civil society organizations in Serbia (from 2019 to 2023) through the award of grants and capacity building, so that they could  respond more effectively to the challenges of civic activism in Serbia.

The aim of the call is to empower civil society to participate more actively in decision-making and policy-making processes, as well as to represent citizens’ interests more effectively, especially of those at the local level.

The call provides an opportunity for civil society organizations to receive financial support for institutional empowerment, so that they could develop and strengthen the capacity for establishing and strengthening ties with the citizens. It is intended primarily for small and medium-sized civil society organizations that work together with citizens for the benefit of their local communities.
