Vranje, Bujanovac, Presevo – A sufficient number of vaccines against the seasonal flu  arrived in the Pcinj district, so that everyone would be vaccinated in a timely manner, assured the Institute for Public Health in Vranje.

“Of the 7,800 doses that arrived for the Pcinj district, 2,500 were distributed to the Health Center in Vranje, of which 500 vaccines were intended for the  healthcare staff, 1,600 doses for Presevo, 1,400 for Bujanovac, 600 for Surdulica, 550 doses for Vladicin Han, 300 for Bosilegrad and 350 for Trgoviste", says epidemiologist Dr. Sladjan Stankovic.

“The person to be vaccinated must first be examined by the chosen doctor, so that there is no contraindication or allergy to eggs, as well as to the ingredients of the vaccine, such as Gentamicin and Formaldequin. After that examination, the vaccine is normally received ", Dr. Stankovic says.

It takes from three weeks to a month to acquire immunity. That is why the right time to receive the seasonal flu vaccine is by the end of October or at the beginning of November at the latest, because the seasonal flu virus becomes active as early as the beginning of December.
