Belgrade, Меdvedja – The third session of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities’ (SCTM) Committee for Health and Social Policy was held on Friday on the premises of the SCTM. The topic of the session was the role of local self-governments in organizing the immunization process in the coming period.

The topic of the session was the role of local self-governments in organizing the immunization process in the coming period.
The President of the Municipality of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic, also took part in the session, who said in his address that 450 people had been vaccinated in the territory of the municipality until then, and that 71 people had signed up for it on the e-Government portal.
“Although the emergency situation is still in force due to the floods, power outages in 70% of the territory of the municipality of Medvedja and mobile signal non-coverage, we are satisfied with the response to vaccination so far. Elderly citizens who could not sign up for vaccination on the portal, will have the opportunity to be vaccinated on the spot during a visit paid to them by the home care team and the Health Center one ", said the President of the Municipality of Medvedja.
The meeting was also attended by Marija Obradovic, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, as well as by representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ and Social Affairs, the World Health Organization Office in Belgrade and the Institute of Public Health "Dr. Milan Jovanovic – Batut".
It was concluded at the meeting that it is necessary to continue cooperating intensively with the aforementioned institutions, as well as with the Ministry of Health.
