Bujanovac – Yesterday, vaccination against seasonal flu started at the Bujanovac Health Center (HC).

“We requisitioned 1,000 doses and we are starting the vaccination. Immunization will be performed on the order of the chosen general practitioner, who determines the general indications and contraindications", Dr. Daliborka Pavlovic, the Director of the HC, said.

It is especially important to vaccinate chronically ill people, patients with associated diseases and those older than 65.

The number of doses available to the Health Center is sufficient for the immunization of all potentially endangered persons, and if the need arises, more doses will be procured.

“The current epidemiological situation in the country is stable, and going to healthcare institutions at this time is not a great epidemiological risk for the citizens who would like to be vaccinated. Precisely for that reason and in order to gain the most efficient and effective immunity acquired by the vaccine, immunization is recommended in the specified period, which starts on October 1”, the Ministry of Health said.  

Vaccines are free of charge for all the citizens.
