Belgrade – The Serbian Youth Umbrella Organization (SYUO) launched an initiative to mark the Youth Day on August 12 under the title of Youth Week.

The aim of the Youth Week is to follow up and promote the events for youth throughout Serbia during six days, from August 6 to 12, to put young people into focus through various events, news and an online campaign, as well as to cap it by marking the international Youth Day on Sunday, 12 August, at the Youth Assembly and by awarding the MLADGRAD prize. 

During the Youth Week, the Serbian Youth Umbrella Organization will present the results of an alternative survey on the status and needs of young people in the Republic of Serbia in 2018. The Serbian Youth Umbrella Organization has conducted the survey for the second year in a row, by which it aims to contribute to the statistical data on young people in our country, but also to make recommendations to associations, institutions and individuals at all levels of decision-making about what is necessary to improve and/or modify, so that young people could get a stimulating environment for the development of the society in which they live. The results will be presented at a press conference at the Media Center in Belgrade, which will be held on  August 10, while a publication on the matter will be available on the website of the Serbian Youth Umbrella Organization, in the Library section.    

The idea of ​​the Youth Week is to give young people some space to freely express their opinions, attitudes, criticisms and suggestions. By the # MisliNaMlade online campaign, messages of young people and organizations will be collected and sent to the public, institutions/ organizations and the media.
