Bujanovac – The Bujanovac-based Youth Forum for the Education of Roma (YFER) will provide textbooks to 252 most socially disadvantaged students of the "Branko Radicevic" elementary school in Bujanovac.  To this end, 600,000 dinars will be spent.

“We will get the financial resources upon revision of the budget of the municipality of Bujanovac. The money will be used for purchasing only the most necessary textbooks  from the first to the eighth grade, which will be distributed on the basis of the list that was made at the "Branko Radicevic" elementary school,” said Kenan Rasitovic, the YFER’s CEO.

“At the beginning of this school year, we distributed a specific number of books that were purchased in the previous years and that are used in the classroom this year, too.

“We also presented textbooks to around 50 underprivileged students of the “Saint Sava” secondary school in Bujanovac. Only the books that haven’t yet been published are problematic.  We will try to provide elementary school students with some school supplies, which will be distributed soon, "Mr. Rasitovic said.

The "Youth Forum for the Education of Roma" NGO was founded in 2002 with the aim of "providing a humane environment in which all children, young people and their parents are integrated into society."

Two years later, the YFER began distributing textbooks to students for free. And it does so every single year, in accordance with its financial capabilities.
