WREATHS WERE LAID AT THE MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN IN MEDVEDJA ON THE OCCASION OF THE 22ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE BEGINNING OF THE NATO BOMBING CAMPAIGN

Меdvedja – Twenty-second commemorative gathering was held in front of the memorial fountain in Medvedja yesterday, in honor of the fallen fighters from the municipality of Medvedja, as well as all those killed in the 1999 NATO bombing campaign.

Due to the current situation and the ban on gatherings, no larger gathering was organized, so that wreaths were laid at the memorial fountain by members of the Second Battalion of the 549th Motorized Brigade of the Army of Serbia, representatives of the local self-government of Medvedja and representatives of reserve military officers and associations of  veterans of wars from 1918 to 1999.

In a short address, the Deputy President of the Municipality of Medvedja, Goran Ivanovic, said that they were paying tribute to the fallen fighters of the Second Motorized 549th Battalion from Djakovica, as well as to all other victims of the NATO aggression against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. He also mentioned with the deepest respect Predrag Bogosavljevic, Branko Milenovic and Dejan Jezdic, the natives of Medvedja who died at the Košare outpost.
