Vranje, Bujanovac, Presevo – The data of the Institute of Public Health in Vranje show that the epidemiological situation is once again worrying, considering that there is a significant increase in the number of new patients, while the virus has entered Vranje schools, as there are both children and teachers among the infected.
According to Dr. Sladjan Stankovic, an epidemiologist, out of 376 persons tested in the Pcinj district, 81 are positive. Of that figure, 59 persons are from Vranje, 7 from Presevo, 4 from Bujanovac, Surdulica and Trgoviste each, 2 from Vladicin Han and 1 from Bosilegrad. The number of examinations in the COVID infirmary is not decreasing either, but, fortunately, most of the examined patients have a lighter clinical picture.
Yesterday, 182 examinations were done in the COVID infirmary, of which 95 were done for the first time. Blood samples were taken from 140 patients and 77 X-rays of the lungs were performed. 1 PCR and 103 antigen tests were done, of which 50 were positive for the corona virus. 16 patients were diagnosed with bronchopneumonia.
104 patients were hospitalized in COVID hospitals in Vranje. Of that number, 94 are positive for the corona virus. There are 95 patients suffering from bronchopneumonia, while 57 of them are receiving oxygen treatment. 9 patients were admitted for hospital treatment, while 11 of them were discharged from hospital. There are currently 56 available beds in COVID hospitals.
His colleague, Dr. Goran Ristic, says that close to 10,000 persons from the Pcinj district have been vaccinated so far.
