During a six-hour workshop, 25 migrants and five young people from Presevo had the opportunity to learn the basic secrets of playing the drums and percussion instruments.
After the workshop, Mr. Djuricic said that it was not easy for people accommodated at the Reception Center in Presevo, although they had breakfast, lunch and dinner provided, as well as where to sleep, and that his intention was to change something for the better in their everyday life and to instill in them a new mood through the fellowship established while learning to play the drums.
Melika (22) from Iran, who was one of the participants in Mr. Djuricic’s workshop on playing the drums, said that learning to play the drums was the best experience for her since she had come to the Reception Center in Presevo two months before.
"That was my first experience in learning to play the drums andit is the best experience at the Reception Center. It was a great fun and it washed off all my negative energy, " Melika said.
Around 250 refugees and migrants from the Middle East are accommodated at the Reception Center in Presevo, while the aforementioned workshop was, through the International Organization for Migration (IOM), implemented as part of the EU's support to Serbia in managing migration.
