Мedvedja – “The municipality of Medvedja and the surrounding area are not threatened by floods," Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, said.  

“The rivers in the municipality of Medvedja are currently retreating to the beds and the citizens should not be afraid of the river flooding that happened in the vicinity of Leskovac and Bojnik, "the Mayor of Medvedja said, adding that there was enough drinking water and that it was in line with the required standards. 

A heavy rain, which was falling over the previous few days, and the raised water levels of the rivers did not inflict any damage on the territory of the municipality. At the moment, there is no need for water pumping and strengthening the walls, while the intensity of rainfall is declining.
