Bujanovac – Bujanovac is one of the few cities in Serbia to be completely disinfected against the coronavirus, which is thanks to the cooperation of the local self-government and the Veterinary Station.
The disinfection job is due to be completed on Saturday, said Miodrag Milkovic, the Director of the Veterinary Station, and Rahim Salihi, the Head of the Bujanovac Municipality's Investment and Development Department, who are jointly conducting the campaign.
Pavements, entrances to buildings and other public areas along the path from the roundabout to the Health Center and along the Main Street, followed by Kosovska Street, both promenades in the square, the Cultural Center, the premises of the Albanian National Council, mosques and churches in the territory of the municipality, banks, post offices, gas stations, as well as the Sezai Suroi school, where classes in Albanian are recorded, have been disinfected so far.
The plan is to disinfect the red buildings and Karakacka Street and other city streets, while Mr. Milkovic and Mr. Salihi announce that complete buildings will be disinfected.
“This disinfectant kills all viruses, bacteria and molds 17 minutes after spraying, " says Miodrag Milkovic, the Director of the Veterinary Station.
According to him, the campaign is carried out in consultation with the municipality.
"The Veterinary Station does not charge for labor, but only for the used material," Mr. Milkovic says.
Rahim Salihi adds that the commercial price of this deal is 15 dinars per square meter, and that the municipality will pay 8 dinars:
“The price is the least important since the health of the citizens comes first,” Mr. Salihi points out.
According to the official data, over 500 people in Bujanovac are in self-isolation.
