Bujanovac – Thirteen persons from Bujanovac, who had previously completed training for practical occupations, received sets of tools within the project "Change for Roma", which was implemented over the past year.
The ceremonial handing out of tool sets was performed by the project management for 13 most successful participants in the project, who include 3 seamstresses, 2 welders, 1 ceramicist, 4 manicurists-pedicurists, 1 hairdresser and 2 painters /plasterers.
The tool sets will be of great help to the participants in the project for their future work, which they themselves pointed out during the tool set distribution event.
The "Change for Roma" project aimed to increase the social inclusion of Roma and other vulnerable categories of population in the region of South Serbia through economic empowerment, as well as to improve access to employment for hard-to-employ groups of population and provide financial support through start-up grants.
"We are confident that we have achieved our goals and that in the coming period we will implement more such successful projects that economically empower vulnerable groups of prople through employment or self-employment," said Kenan Rasitovic, Project Coordinator and Director of OFER.
The "Change for Roma" project was funded by EU funds, in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Serbia and through the EU PRO program, while the implementation partners were OFER from Bujanovac and RKC from Vranje Spa.
