Medvedja – Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, and Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, cut the red tape today and thus opened the reconstructed building of the Municipal Assembly of Medvedja, in which a total of 53 million dinars had been invested.
Medvedja – Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, and Zoran Stankovic, the President of the Coordination Body for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, cut the red tape today and thus opened the reconstructed building of the Municipal Assembly of Medvedja, in which a total of 53 million dinars had been invested.
The Coordination Body invested 45 million dinars, while the remaining amount was provided by the local self-government, which will additionally earmark around 1.2 million dinars for the furniture.
The 1000-square-meter building was built in the 1950s and was completely ruined.
The inside and outside appearance of the building has changed now, while a wing to the building has been built. One of the innovations is the enlarged assembly room with the booths for interpreters, since Medvedja is a multinational municipality.
The opening of the new facility was held on the Day of the Municipality, when, in the presence of numerous officials, an award-giving ceremony is expected.
