Medvedja – As it happens every year, a traditional tourist and cultural and sports event "Mowing in Marovac” was held in the village of Marovac.

The twenty-first “Mowing in Marovac” event was opened by Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, while the attendees of the event were also greeted by Ljubisa Ristic, the Director of the Tourist Organization of Medvedja. 28 persons signed up for the competition in mowing by hand piece, of whom the top ten qualified for the finals.  

The best mower in 2018 was Dragan Ristic, second place was taken by last year's winner, Radiša Papović, while third place went to Dragutin Doderović. 

The competitions that were held in second part of the event included the following disciplines: throwing stones from the shoulder, the long jump and tugs of war.

This year, the weather was not inclined towards the organizers, a great many attendees, athletes and participants in the sporting and cultural part of the event. However, after some rain and a strong storm, there was enough time to carry out the program of the event to the end.

The organizers of the twenty-first mowing event in Marovac were the Tourist Organization of Medvedja and the local community of Marovac.
