Medvedja – The French company “Veolia,” which is renowned  in the world for modern wastewater treatment and digital watercourse control systems, expressed interest in investing in the Medvedja water quality management and control project, with the aim of permanently resolving the problem of watercourses and wastewater treatment, it was said in a statement issued by the Office of the Mayor of Medvedja after a meeting and a business lunch at the French Embassy in Belgrade.

“Representatives of the“Veolia” company expressed their willingness to invest in several models in Medvedja. Their visit to Medvedja and Sijarinska Spa was aagreed upon, so that they could consider in the field the volume and speed of investment, thanks to which  Medvedja would permanently solve the problem of quality water  supply without the risk of any environmental pollution, "stated the Office of the Mayor of Medvedja.

Members of the Presidency of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) met with representatives of the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (CCIFS) at the French Embassy.

The Municipality of Medvedja was represented in the SCTM Presidency by the Mayor of Medvedja, Nebojsa Arsic, who familiarized the new Ambassador of France with Medvedja's economic and natural potential.  He particularly emphasized the natural beauties of the area, the ore potential, as well as the benefits of Medvedja for investing in agriculture and tourism.
