Тhе Citizens' Initiatives NGO, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Caritas Foundation Luxembourg, organized from October 7 to 9, 2013, the training of trainers who will be working with young people in South Serbia and Sandzak.  

Over the three days, 21 trainees had the opportunity to attend the lectures and participate in the workshops. The objective of the training program for trainers from South Serbia and Sandzak is to make it possible for them to get better knowledge of the local community, work with young people in multi-ethnic communities and improve the skills of conducting the training, communicating, resolving conflicts etc. That is why the first of three modules was focused on the issue of human and minority rights. The topics discussed included the concept of discrimination and prejudice in South Serbia and Sandzak, in the context of human rights and the rights of marginalized groups.

The second three-day module of the training program of trainers from South Serbia and Sandzak will be held in November 2013 and will cover the following areas: motivation of participants and communication skills, working with the young people, volunteer work, activism, job search and entrepreneurship.

The third module is planned for December 2013, during which the following issues will be addressed: the establishing of the need for learning, the setting of goals and providing training, presentation skills, giving the feedback, organization of future training courses and laying the foundation for individual work plans of participants with their mentors.
