Presevo – Driton Salihu, the Head of the Presevo Health Center, said that 20 people infected with the corona virus had been registered in Presevo over the previous 10 days.

Dr. Salihu says that two or three new cases of the infection are registered in that municipality every day.  He also says that the epidemiological situation in Presevo is not terrible, but that it is not satisfactory, either.

He emphasizes that the big problem, which has existed since the beginning of the epidemic, is that the residents of Presevo do not report to the COVID surgery, but are treated at home or privately.

"The situation is a bit worrying because we do not have the exact number of those who are infected, since they do not come to the COVID surgery," Dr. Salihu said.

He also says that on average, between 20 and 30 people with symptoms of COVID-19 come to the COVID surgery every day.

He also says that they send one patient from the Presevo Health Center to Vranje, Surdulica or Nis almost every day.  

Earlier, Dr. Predrag Kon pointed out at the conference of the Crisis Staff for the fight against the corona virus that he was worried about the situation in several cities in Serbia.

“It should be pointed out that there is no relaxation because the percentage of those who are actively ill in Belgrade is growing, of which there are currently 36%.  We had a slight increase in numbers, a total of 36 % of all infected people in Serbia are in Belgrade. Kragujevac, Zajecar and Presevo are worrying, as the numbers have increased there as well, while there were 8.5% of those positive for the corona virus a few days ago, "Dr. Kon said.
