Мedvedja – Representatives of the eminent Dutch company "Blueco" visited the municipality of Medvedja in order to get acquainted with the possible solution to the problem that the town and Sijarinska Spa have with wastewater. The first contact with representatives of that company was made at the Serbian-Dutch business forum "Water and Energy 2019", which was held in Belgrade, when the Medvedja visit was agreed. 

The meeting was held in the office of Medvedja Municipality President Nebojsa Arsic, and was, besides representatives of the "Blueco" company, attended by the Deputy President of the Municipality of Medvedja Goran Ivanovic and members of the expert service of the municipal administration of Medvedja municipality.

After the meeting, the guests visited the old wastewater treatment plant in Medvedja and the springs of thermal and mineral waters in Sijarinska Spa.

The UNOPS is currently working on studies and will soon do project documentation for wastewater treatment systems in Medvedja and Sijarinska Spa, which would be followed by the construction of the wastewater treatment systems, with the possible assistance of the Dutch, who had donated 8 million euros to Leskovac for a similar investment.
