Меdvedja – By laying flowers on the monument at the lookout point, the representatives of the local self-government of the municipality of Medvedja and of the association of fighters from that municipality marked the day when the armistice was signed between the Allies and Germany.

Historian Nemanja Jovic spoke about the historical facts relating to November 11, 1918, who said that Serbia suffered the greatest sacrifice in the First World War, when over 25% of the total population and nearly 49% of the able-bodied population lost their lives. Mr. Jovic pointed out that the First World War was marked by the suffering of regular soldiers and civilians, as well as the sons of politicians and prominent personalities.

The President of the Municipality, Nebojsa Arsic, expressed his gratitude for the greatest sacrifice that could be made, so that we would be free today. Mr. Arsić also said that he would do his best to have all the monuments in the territory of the municipality of Medvedja fixed up, by which the residents of the municipality of Medvedja would show that they did not forget their ancestors and respected the lives given for their freedom.
