All employers who want to hire new workers, as well as the entrepreneurs who are just planning to start a business, will get considerable facilities.
The first type of facility applies to employers, legal entities and entrepreneurs.
Namely, all those who employ new workers are entitled to a refund of part of the tax paid on new workers’ earnings that were paid until December 31, 2019.
"The condition is that these persons were registered in the central register for obligatory social insurance, that the employers concluded employment contracts with these persons, and that these persons were registered with the National Employment Office in the previous six months," said Dragan Agatunović, the Head of the Tax Administration Control Division
The system of reimbursement of part of the paid income tax is very simple: the more employees are employed, the higher the percentage of refund.
“The employer is entitled to a refund of part of the paid income tax in the amount of 65% if he employs from one to nine new persons. If he employs up to 99 persons, he is entitled to a refund of 70%, and if he employs 100 or more persons, he is entitled to a refund of 75% of the paid tax on wages”, Mr. Agatunovic said.
Another type of facility relates to the establishment of new legal entities.
"If the founder of a legal entity gets employed in his legal entity, as well as the owners of an entrepreneurial shop who choose to pay personal wages, then they are entitled to tax exemption from the payment of taxes and contributions over the next 12 months up to the amount of 37,000 dinars net," Mr. Agatunovic said.
He also said that the condition was that those persons had got employment, that they had been registered in the central register for obligatory social insurance, that they had been registered with the National Employment Office over the previous six months, and that they had acquired secondary school, two-year post-secondary school or university education over the previous 12 months.
