The Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja supports the implementation of the project "Internship Program for the Young – Members of Minorities in State Institutions in the Republic of Serbia", this year, too.
The project is aimed at active participation of young members of the Albanian, Bosnian and Roma communities in public life and their greater involvement in the work of governmental bodies.
This year, young interns from the three communities will have the opportunity, in the period of six months, to learn and gain practical experience in six institutions, which are the following: the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the Office of Human and Minority Rights, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society and the Team for Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction. Over the next six months, Arbnora Limani from Bujanovac and Vjolca Salihi from the municipality of Medvedja will be doing their internship in the Coordination Body’s Office in Belgrade.
In addition to familiarizing themselves with the work of the institution, the female interns will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the implementation of the Coordination Body’s projects, as well as in the implementation of the activities carried out by this governmental body. The interns whose native language isn’t Serbian will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge of Serbian. The internship program has been implemented since 2010 by the Office of Human and Minority Rights, with the support of the British Embassy, the Dutch Embassy, the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
