Medvedja – For the prestigious title, Milica Vuletić and Sanja Stevanović received awards of 20,000 and 30,000 dinars from the local self-government of the municipality of Medvedja, and cash awards were also given to the holder of the Vuk's diploma, as well as to the students who had achieved significant results over the past academic year at the republican, regional and other competitions in the fields of education, art, culture and sports.

The prizes followed because excellent students had been given free tickets for the use of the Olympic-size pool.

The Mayor of Medveđa, Nebojša Arsić, pointed out that so far it had been customary to award awards on the day of the municipality, on May 20, but for justified reasons it was decided to have this event on a special day.

“As parental meetings were organized today, and at the same time free entrance tickets for the pool were handed out, which were given to all excellent school students in the territory of the municipality of Medvedja, it was logical that the best of the best students should be given these modest cash prizes today, too.  Our children are not only modest, hard-working and cultured, but they can also boast about the extraordinary knowledge they receive at their schools.  So, in addition to complimenting you personally, I must congratulate your parents and teachers, too, thanks to whose advice, knowledge and efforts you are here today. I want you to continue working hard, because you will only reach your goals in that way, so that when you grow up, you become good people, which is actually the most important thing in life, "said Mayor Aric, who presented the awards to the students.

The students of the generation, chosen by the decision of the "Milica Veličković" Fund, received from the retired teacher of fine arts Kosara Velickovic, who is also the founder of the fund, one painting each.
