Bujanovac – The Students' Day was marked in Bujanovac by the ceremony of awarding 863 scholarships to university students from the municipality, while ten million dinars were allocated for this pupose in the municipality's budget.
Bujanovac – The Students' Day was marked in Bujanovac by the ceremony of awarding 863 scholarships to university students from the municipality, while ten million dinars were allocated for this pupose in the municipality's budget.
The recipients of the scholarships received their scholarships in the great hall of the“ Vuk Karadzic“ cultural center, while they were handed over to them by the Head of the Department of Social Services in the municipality of Bujanovac Bajram Fejzulahu.
Based on the decision of the municipal council, a total of 10 million dinars was allocated in the minicipal budget for student scholarships this year, while scholarships were awarded on the basis of the achieved success in studying.
All freshmen were given ten thousand dinars each, while only exclellent students could apply for the scholarship. As regards senior students, they could obtain the municipal scholarship only if they regularly enrolled in the 2013/2014 academic year, while the amount of scholarships depended on the average marks in the previous academic year. The scholarship amount ranges from 10, 000 to 20, 000 dinars.
Students of the Subotica Faculty of Economics' department in Bujanovac are an exception, who, based on the reasoning of the municipal administration and due to the lower costs of education , received 7, 000 dinars each.
The largest number of students from the municipality of Bujanovac studies at some of the faculties in Pristina, Tirana and at the State University of Tetovo in Macedonia, while a few hundred of them study in Bujanovac itself, where the Faculty of Economics from Subotica opened its department three years ago.
