The student competition "COVID-19 Challenge" is dedicated to providing practical policy proposals with the aim of solving the biggest challenges of today. Participants in the competition should submit their practical policy proposals in accordance with the guidelines by December 8, 2020.

Five first-place teams or independent candidates will have the opportunity to participate in the online final competition, where they will present their ideas to a jury in three minutes, which will include practical policy makers, civil society leaders and representatives of the donor community. The online competition will be held in the second half of January 2021.

In the context of the competition, the challenges are thematic units within which competitors need to choose a particular problem and try to solve it through their practical policy proposals. The thematic units of the competition are as follows: 

• Challenge 1: How to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and recover from it by strengthening social justice and protecting the most vulnerable?

• Challenge 2: How to respond to and recover from the COVID-19 pandemic while strengthening resilience to climate change?

All undergraduate and graduate students of all universities in Serbia (both public and private ones) can apply for the competition. Students must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the expiry of the application deadline (December 8, 2020).
