Global Volunteer is a volunteer practice program for young people who wish to work on their personal improvement, discover new cultures and expand their own ones. Volunteers have the opportunity to teach foreign languages to children abroad, work on reducing poverty, contribute to healthcare, work on the improvement of human rights and in many other different areas in a multicultural environment.
Why should one volunteer abroad? Volunteers who have already gained international experience have a lot of answers to this question, and some of them are as follows: working on a socially responsible project, getting to know people from other countries, as well as new cultures, linking with the tradition of the country where the volunteer is and the feeling that you are really becoming a resident of another country. The practice gives you the opportunity to work on your personal and professional development, and it is the right choice for adventurers who want to spend their summer in a different manner.
Secondary school students, university students and young people from 18 to 30 years old may apply for the Global Volunteer program. No previous work experience is required for the practice, nor does the field of your study/your faculty play the important role. This is an ideal opportunity for those who do not want to spend a lot of money, and yet dream of having this summer in a country abroad, since the accommodation for most practices is provided.
All information on the current practices and on how to apply for this program is available on the website of AIESEC Serbia http://aiesec.org.rs/.
