Bujanovac – Residents of the village of Zbevac, which is located in the municipality of Bujanovac, should soon get a water supply system that meets all standards, unlike the current situation in which most rural households do not have drinking water.
Stojanca Arsic, Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, raised the issue of water supply in the village with over 200 households at the most recent session of the Municipal Council. On that occasion, he underscored that the initial phase of the project would be funded by the local self-government.
"The water supply lines in the village of Zbevac were built from donations, while the initial tests showed that the water contained manganese and iron, while following the control of two new test wells, it was found that the water contained aluminum," Mr. Arsic said.
He pointed out that donors had expressed their willingness to continue funding the project, but that the local self-government had to provide funding for two more test wells.
“That is why this project will be included in the special program of "Komunalac," while the municipality will earmark 600,000 dinars for these purposes, "Mr. Arsic said.
Anyhow, the total value of the aforementioned "Komunalac" program, which includes important infrastructure projects, should be increased from this year’s 25 million dinars to 38 million dinars in 2018.
