SOCIALLY VULNERABLE CITIZENS ENTITLED TO 250 KILOWATT HOURS OF ELECTRICITY PER MONTH

Belgrade –  Of the 350,000 socially vulnerable citizens of Serbia, the right to free kilowatts of electricity and cubic meters of gas was used this year only by every fifth poor citizen of Serbia.

Belgrade –  Of the 350,000 socially vulnerable citizens of Serbia, the right to free kilowatts of electricity and cubic meters of gas was used this year only by every fifth poor citizen of Serbia.

According to the "Politika" daily, only 67,000 socially vulnerable citizens used those benefits this year, because the documents for exercising this right are costly.

The Ministry of Energy says that a portion of the 270 million euros, which is the World Bank’s loan, will be used to increase the number of citizens who are entitled to electricity benefits.  They Ministry also stated that the regulation by which the procedure for simplifying the obtaining of those benefits should be adopted by mid-year.    

Socially vulnerable citizens are entitled to 250 kilowatt hours of electricity per month.
