The Smart Collective launched the Sustainable Economy Development Fund in 2019. The Fund was launched with the aim of providing lasting and adequate professional and financial support to the companies with a strong social impact. The Fund is a continuation of the strategic and long-term orientation of the Smart Collective towards supporting and empowering individuals, organizations and businesses that contribute to sustainable and positive changes in their communities.

“Over the past 15 years, we empowered over 7,000 drivers of change and improved the quality of life for over 100,000 individuals, ”said the Smart Collective, adding that they now want to make their support programs more sustainable by giving social innovators access to the financial instruments tailored to their measures and according to their needs.

The Fund's long-term goals are to support until 2023, through the Sustainable Ideas Program, a total of 100 ideas or 20 ideas per year, as well as to support 50 companies or 10 companies per year through the Sustainable Business Program.

Companies with the greatest potential for developing further business operations and social impact will have the opportunity to apply for an innovative financial instrument that is part of the Fund – an interest-free loan of up to 50,000.00 euros.

The Smart Collective launched the Sustainable Economy Development Fund with the support of the Project for Improving the Framework for Granting Funds, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Coalition for Charity, which is led by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. The Coalition consists of the “Trag” Foundation, the Catalyst Foundation, the Smart Collective, the Serbian Philanthropic Forum, the Responsible Business Forum and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. .
