Bujanovac – The security situation in the municipality of Bujanovac is more favorable than last year, except in the part of drug trafficking, it was stated in the report of the municipal Council for Security and Crime Prevention.

The Chief of the Bujanovac Police Station, Goran Savic, assessed at the session of the Council that the general security situation was stable and better in terms of parameters than the one in 2019, but that this year there was a noticeable increase in the number of criminal acts of selling narcotics.

The epidemiological situation regarding the corona virus was especially discussed at the session, which the Director of the Health Center, Daliborka Pavlovic, assessed as unfavorable.

Dr. Pavlovic emphasized that with 217 new cases, November was the worst month since the beginning of the pandemic.

It was said that healthcare workers were trying their best to keep the situation under control, but also that not a day passed without recording the disease among doctors, which greatly complicated the functioning of the Health Center.

Stated in the Council’s report  was that the health of children was the most important, so that at the suggestion of the President of the Bujanovac Assembly, Enver Ramadani, new quantities of protective masks would be provided for all primary schools in the municipality.
