Bujanovac – Men's basketball team of the “Saint Sava” secondary vocational school from Bujanovac won second place at the district youth competition that was held at the sports hall in Vranje.

Young basketball players of the aforementioned school in Bujanovac defeated, in the semifinals, their peers from the secondary school of economics from Vranje. They were, thereupon, defeated, in the finals, by the team from Surdulica, which qualified for the next round of competition.
 

Although they are of the view that they could have competed further, since they coped well with the team from Surdulica until the end of the third quarter of the match, members of the basketball team from Bujanovac are pleased with what they achieved.  

“We are satisfied because this is the largest success we have achieved so far. We are particularly pleased because we could feel the sweetness of victory over the team from Vranje, which had been undefeatable for many years. We hope that next year will be more successful for us, "said Slavisa Jovic, the teacher of physical education at the “Saint Sava” secondary vocational school.  

The competition in basketball was the first in a series of youth competitions in other sports disciplines, which are envisaged by the competition calendar for this school year.
