Medvedja – Thanks to the financial assistance of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia, the education of elementary school students on environmental protection, which is carried out as part of the “Be Eco” project, went on in the municipalities of Medvedja, Lebane and Bojnik.
During the project, the second “Eco Fest’ was held in the municipality of Lebane, while children from preschool institutions and the fourth and eighth grade students from the aforementioned three municipalities were educated.
The project aims to continue educating children and raising awareness about the state of the environment, the impact of man on it, the new trends of energy efficiency and the use of bio resources for generating energy. The project is particularly focused on good waste management, because mistreatment of the environment and bad management of waste are causing environmental pollution in South Serbia.
Education of children is one of the important mechanisms for improving the condition of the environment.
