As part of the program "EU Support to Roma Inclusion – Empowering Local Communities for the Inclusion of Roma", which is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities – the Union of Cities and Municipalities of Serbia (SCTM), a public call for cities, municipalities and urban municipalities was issued for the purpose of supporting the SCTM in developing or improving local action plans for the social inclusion of Roma men and women.

The public call is intended for cities, municipalities and urban municipalities in the Republic of Serbia which:

• Do not have a valid local action plan that promotes the status of Roma men and women, or
• Have a local action plan that promotes the position of Roma men and women that expires  in 2019 or 2020, or
• Have a valid local action plan that promotes the position of Roma men and women, which they want to improve and bring into line with the Strategy for Social Inclusion of Roma Men and Women in the Republic of Serbia for the period from 2016 to 2025.

The SCTM will provide expert support and guidance to the cities, municipalities and urban municipalities that will be selected at the public call through the entire process of developing and promoting local action plans for the social inclusion of Roma men and women. This will be done through workshops led by male and female experts in the areas of strategic planning, program budgeting and inclusion of Roma men and women.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 8, 2019.
