The School of Human Rights for Youth, organized by the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Serbia, in partnership with the Youth Initiative for Human Rights, will be held in Belgrade from September 27 to October 2, 2019.
The aim of the School of Human Rights for Youth is to familiarize you with the theory and idea of human rights, the principles of democracy, tolerance, solidarity, non-violent communication and to encourage the development of critical thinking.
The first, second, third and fourth-grade students of secondary schools from all over Serbia, who have not already attended any of the previous Youth Human Rights Schools, can apply for the School.
Applying for the school is done by filling in the application form on https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf3BqJdhe5-6_94qtZvmJt_T16C94-prIPgnd4BE7y5TcwJqA/viewform . The closing day for applications is September 19, 2019. Information of the selection of the school participants will be sent to the applicants by September 22, 2019.
The school is free of charge, which means that the cost of travel, food, accommodation, lectures, visits to cultural events and work materials will be borne by the organizer.
The students of the school will be accomodated in the center of Belgrade, while all the lectures and workshops of the school will be held on the premises of the Human Rights House (Kneza Milosa 4). All participants will be given a justification for missing their school classes.
Detailed information on the school's program and other details will be provided to those applicants who are invited to the school after the selection process, based on the evaluation of the completed questionnaires.
The school is organized as part of a project funded by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia.
