Bujanovac – After the Bujanovac News portal wrote about the bad conditions for elementary school students in the outpost of the Bujanovac elementary school "Branko Radičevic", which is located in the village of Rakovac, the works on the ruined school building began.

According to the Director of the school, Nenad Tasic, the renovation of the Rakovac school was planned even before the above-mentioned text, but "procedures and money from the local self-government were awaited".

“The procedure was in progress, and now we have been approved 100,000 dinars from the Municipality, which will be used to repair the roof and ceiling.  Our workers have already started repairing the cracks in the walls and doing other works that they can do themselves, while when it comes to the roof and ceiling, we will have to hire a contractor who can do the job adequately," Mr. Tasic said.  

His estimate is that the works will be completed within two weeks.

At the conclusion that the school outposts in other villages in the region are not in good condition either, the Director said that the school in Lopardince would be repaired next, as well as that everything necessary would be done in the schools in Karadnik and Srpska Kuca.
