Bujanovac, Levosoje – Stojanca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, Goran Kvrgic,  the Director of the Belgrade-based “Research and Development” Project Management Unit (PMU) and  Dragan Tomic, the Principal of  the "Vuk Karadzic" elementary school  in Levosoje, which marks 110 years of its existence and operation, officially laid the foundation stone for the construction of the gym in the school yard.

The value of the works on the facility, the total area of which is 900 square meters, is around 314,000 euros. The planned deadline for completing construction works is nine months.

Upon the construction of the gym, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, in cooperation with the Project Management Unit (PMU), will provide the necessary equipment for the said facility.

Goran Kvrgic, Director of the "Research and Development" PMU, said that that was just one of 216 schools that would be reconstructed in that manner, and that over fifty-one schools had been reconstructed until then.

Stojanaca Arsic, the Deputy Mayor of Bujanovac, said that that facility wouldn’t be the only one in the municipality of Bujanovac "where working conditions for children will be improved.”  He pointed out that "all of this would have been impossible without the support of the Ministry of Education and without great efforts of the School Principal and local self-government."

The “Vuk Karadzic” elementary school at the village of Levosoje, which is one of the oldest schools in the municipality of Bujanovac, where 35 workers are employed, is, this school year, attended by 120 students, who have been distributed in 11 classes.
