Мedvedja –  Starting salary of 60 thousand dinars, including provided food and accommodation and a holiday at the seaside, is a job that attracts few people, because it is the job of a shepherd herding sheep. Although the house that is being offered is spacious enough for a couple, and the salary one-third higher than the average one in Medvedja, where the job is offered, few people wish to respond to it.   

“Unemployment is high but nobody wants to work regardless of the working conditions. It is odd, but there it is. I know a man who, in addition to providing good working conditions and salaries, sent the workers on his farm to a spa and to the seaside, but in spite of it, they would flee overnight and never again get in touch with him,” said Zoran Sukovic, who was seeking workers for his farm. 

He says that the job of a shepherd is not hard, but that it is responsible.

"Assuming that the pay is quite good and the offered conditions excellent, while the job is not as difficult as it is responsible. A shepherd rests when the sheep rest, which is, in the summer, from 12 am to 3 pm and from 8 o’clock in the evening until 6 o’clock in the morning. The rest of the time, a shepherd puts the sheep out to pasture and feeds them with hay and grains in the winter. One worker can look after a herd of 150 sheep, while a larger herd requires 2 to 3 shepherds. The job also requires cleaning the barns, " Mr. Sukovic said.  

He placed the ad for the job on the "Click to Jobs" website, but says that a serious candidate has not responded to it yet.
