Bujanovac- It is not easy to be a woman engaged in business in Bujanovac because of all the problems related to gender inequality and lack of support from the local authorities.

However, according to the Titulli portal, there is a woman in Bujanovac that has accepted the challenge of our times and the traditional mentality, who has been involved in the business for years. 

Sadije Spahiju is the owner of a shop in Bujanovac that deals with the sewing and selling of dresses and traditional costumes of ethnic Albanians, Serbs and Roma.

She said for the Titulli portal that she had been doing that business for as many as 11 years.

Regardless of the challenges she was facing, she never stopped working, and now she has included her daughters in the business, which has become a family occupation.

"It's not easy at all to be a woman doing business in Bujanovac. However, I've withstood all the challenges and difficulties to achieve the set goal and now I'm very pleased with my work, "Sadije said.

When asked how satisfied she was with the support of the local self-governmental institutions, she said that she only had words of praise for all the parties that had formed the government until then.

"I am very pleased with the support of the municipality, as well as with other forms of assistance that I was given for the acquisition of assets for work, sewing machines, ironing equipment and other equipment," said Spahije Sadiju, an entrepreneur from Bujanovac.
