Medvedja – Representatives of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities had a meeting on the premises of the Medvedja local self- government for the purpose of providing the package of support for human resources management in local self-government.
Edi Majstorovic, a representative of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, along with consultants involved in the project, familiarized Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja, and Svetlana Todorovic, the project coordinator, with details in the program agenda.
The municipality of Medvedja applied with the Council of Europe for the implementation of the support package for human resources management in local self-government.
The local self-government announced that "among a large number of cities and municipalities, Medvedja managed to get on the list of 20 pilot local self-governments in which continuous training would be conducted over a seven-month period. The aim of the training is to modernize and improve the municipal administration, while the end users, or the residents of the municipality of Medvedja, will benefit from it the most.”
Project partners include the SCTM, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the Council of Europe, with the financial support of the European Union.
