Bujanovac– The Municipal Development and Investment Department has taken the first steps to address the problem of unauthorized landfills in the municipality.

According to Rahim Salihi, the Head of the aforementioned department, they started from the largest landfill, which is above Veliki Trnovac on the way to Breznica and along the bed of the Trnovacka River.

“The unauthorized landfill spread over two kilometers along the road. This is just the beginning towards the goal of making our city a beautiful place to live in, "Mr. Salihi said. 

He says that garbage will be removed from other locations, too, in the coming days, one of them being one of the busiest parts of the city, next to the Green Market.

"The next place that will be cleaned is the neighborhood of the Green Market," Mr. Salihi says.
