Vranje – Organized by the Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) from Belgrade, with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, a regional meeting of representatives of local self- governments and civil society organizations was held in Vranje, during which the inclusion of interested institutions in the Open Government Partnership was discussed.

The attendees were welcomed by Nenad Antic, the Deputy Mayor, who spoke about the activities of the local self-government in the spheres of transparency in its operation and the fight against corruption. Pavle Dimitrijevic and Ivan Radojevic from CRTA, as well as Dragana Brajovic from the Ministry, spoke about concrete solutions of the local authorities, informing citizens, fiscal transparency, citizens’ access to public services and open data.

The values ​​that the Open Government Partnership (OGP) promotes include greater citizen engagement in policy making, guaranteeing access to information, public control of budgetary resources, improving the efficiency of services and, in particular, digitization and the opening of data. Open Government Partnership is an international forum for dialogue and the sharing of experiences between the executive government, civil society organizations and the private sector.
