Medvedja – The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Medvedja, under the auspices of the municipality of Medvedja, organized the "Regional Meeting" event in Sijarinska Spa. The goal of the event was to strengthen ties between the diaspora and its homeland, including the elements of preserving the traditions of the area.

A large number of visitors from abroad gathered at the event. They had the opportunity to have fun while listening to music and dancing, as well as to enjoy the traditional dishes and drinks of the Jablanica region.

A promise was made that the "Regional Meeting" event would catch on in the region and become a traditional gathering of people from the Jablanica region that temporarily worked in Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, America, Australia and other countries around the world.  

During a break in the musical part of the program, visitors of the event were greeted by Nebojsa Arsic, the Mayor of Medvedja.

“All of you who live outside Medvedja are the best promoters of our region. We, the organizers of this gathering, wish that this event becomes traditional and that we get together at least once per year in order to exchange our experiences and find the ways to revive Medvedja, while I, on behalf of the local self-government, promise that we will always be available to you. Also, I, on behalf of the local self-government, ask you to invest your money in the opening and development of small and medium-sized enterprises, so that we could jointly revive this beautiful region of ours.  Please note that Medvedja would not have been what it is if it had not been for you who temporarily worked outside the territory of Gornja Jablanica, who selflessly helped when it came to charity work and various donations, while some of you had certain positions in the government and helped Medvedja obtain specific investments," Mayor Arsic said.
