Srba Jordanovic from the village of Levosoj and Rade Babovic from Bujanovac were among the first donors who responded to the campaign, which was organized on the premises of the Bujanovac Red Cross Branch Office.
According to what they said, they had become the owners of blood donor cards forty years before. Srba donated the precious liquid twenty or so times, while Rade donated it over 70 times.
Dragan Virijević, MD, from the Institute for Blood Transfusion in Nis, said that the amounts collected in the campaign were within the expected range. He also said that the blood supplies were stable and that there were no shortages.
According to Vlastimir Stojkovic, who is responsible for the activities of the Red Cross Branch Office in Bujanovac, the following voluntary blood donation campaign should be organized in February.
