Bujanovac– The Municipal Council allocated 2.1 million dinars from the budget reserve for the development of project documentation for the reconstruction of the livestock market, which is a project worth 35 million dinars, which should, as the municipal authorities expect, be financed from the European Bank’s funds.
The Municipal President Saip Kamberi said that the municipality of Bujanovac was among five local self-governments in Serbia whose proposed projects had passed the first stage of the assessment, which gave the reason for optimism and drastically increased the chances of obtaining funds. Mr. Kamberi pointed out that the provision of project documentation was practically the last requirement that should be met.
“Many members of our community live on the livestock and depend on the market in question, but due to its poor condition, sanitary and veterinary inspections often close it for several months. By this project, all sanitary requirements would be met and we would get a fully equipped livestock market, "Mr. Kamberi said at the Municipal Council’s session.
A total of 5.5 million dinars were allocated from the budget reserve and that amount would, among other things, be used for financing the preparation of documentation for the renovation projects and for repairing two schools, those in the village of Klenike and in Bujanovac.
