The ACT project and the CSO Resource Center jointly organize the needs assessment of civil society organizations (CSOs) networks to make the ACT grants and the Resource Center Support Network program as effective as possible. We want to hear from network representatives about their successes, challenges and needs for more efficient networking, coordination of networking, ways of communicating with the citizens, etc.
Your contribution is extremely important, so please fill in the questionnaire that is available on https://forms.gle/bi2UfohS92d8Zj286 .
Your answers will provide insight into the current number and capacity of networks, both nationally and locally. In addition to the consultations already held, the ACT and the Resource Center will conduct desk analysis, surveys and interviews with representatives of CSO networks, and all results will be published in a publication that will serve as a basis for future network support programs. Please complete the questionnaire no later than March 12, 2020.
The ACT's goal is an active civil society, in which citizens are more involved in decision-making processes, especially at the local level. Our vision is a democratic, transparent and inclusive society, in which citizens have a dialogue with government officials about reforms in society.
The ACT project is being implemented by the HELVETAS Swiss Inter-Cooperation and Citizens' Initiatives Consortium from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2023. As part of supporting CSO networks, the ACT's focus will be on sharing CSO knowledge and experience, strengthening the capacity of advocacy networks and improving communication with the citizens.
In September 2020, the ACT will launch the first call for proposals for advocacy projects for CSO networks and for strengthening their capacities. Projects are expected to last for 18 months, with a grant amount of up to 25,000 euro. A total of 20 grants will be awarded.
The Civic Initiatives Resource Center will organize a number of information sessions and trainings for representatives of CSO networks during 2020, with the aim of strengthening the capacity of networks for their development and advocacy activities.
