The Office for Human and Minority Rights has launched a public call "Implementation of Anti-Discrimination Policies in the Republic of Serbia for 2020" for programs in the field of promotion and protection of the position of vulnerable social groups, or the promotion of basic human rights principles in the Republic of Serbia.
The Office for Human and Minority Rights has launched a public call "Implementation of Anti-Discrimination Policies in the Republic of Serbia for 2020" for programs in the field of promotion and protection of the position of vulnerable social groups, or the promotion of basic human rights principles in the Republic of Serbia.
The call has been issued for granting funds to the associations registered in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The implementation of the program should result in achieving the following goals:
- Encouraging the positive action of the wider community towards vulnerable social groups;
- Developing and promoting education and social awareness about the importance of tolerance and respect for diversity with the aim of reducing the general level of discrimination in society;
- Improving the monitoring of the United Nations recommendations for human rights mechanisms with the aim of advancing the position of particularly vulnerable social groups;
- Promotion and protection of human rights in the context of the celebration of international holidays and days established by the United Nations.
The call runs from February 4 to 20, 2020.
