The program of encouraging entrepreneurship through development projects in 2019 is carried out by the Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia. Grants in the amount of 500,000,000.00 dinars were provided for the implementation of the Program.

Business entities that meet the Program requirements can get the right to financial support in the amount of up to 20% of the investment grants, or up to 30% of grants for business entities belonging to the fourth development group in accordance with Article 12 of the Law on Regional Development and the Government Act establishing a unique list of the development of the region and local self-governmental units.  The remaining amount of the project value will be financed from the Fund’s loan.

Eligible to apply for a public call for grants and for a loan from the Fund are entrepreneurs, micro, small and medium-sized business entities and cooperatives that are registered with the Business Registers Agency, those which submit official financial statements for the previous two years, in which the net loss has not been reported and those that meet the requirements of the Program. The funds set by the Program are intended for:  

•   Purchase, construction, upgrading, reconstruction, adaptation, restoration and investment in the production premises or business premises, which are part of the production area, or the space in which the production or storage of the products is carried out;

•  The purchase of new or used production and construction equipment (not older than five years), including delivery vehicles for the transport of one’s own products and other transport equipment used in the production process;          

•   Permanent working capital, which can account for a maximum of 20% of the total investment;

•  Purchase of software and other intangible assets.  

The amount of grants can not be less than 75.000,00 dinars for entrepreneurs, or 250.000,00 dinars for legal entities, nor more than 12.500.000,00 dinars for all business entities.   

The filled-in consolidated loan application and grant application, along with the supporting documents, are to be submitted to the Development Fund. All documentation is to be submitted in two copies.

The public call is open until the funds available from the Program are exhausted, but not later than December 31, 2019.
