The Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched a public call for supporting local self-governmental units in the implementation of youth policy at the local level in 2020. The call is open until February 24, 2020.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched a public call for supporting local self-governmental units in the implementation of youth policy at the local level in 2020. The call is open until February 24, 2020.
The purpose of the program is to finance/co-finance programs and projects of public interest in the areas of the youth sector implemented by local self-governments. The funds allocated for the call amount to a total of 48 million dinars.
The objectives of the call are as follows:
– Developing the services and mechanisms that foster the entrepreneurial spirit, employability and employment of young people through cross-sectoral cooperation and implementation of the activities planned by the Action Plan for the implementation of the National Youth Strategy for the period 2018-2020.
– Creating conditions for spending quality leisure time, active participation in society, the implementation of cultural contents, non-formal education and information tailored to the needs of all categories of youth (renovation and equipping of youth clubs and other youth spaces),
– Creating conditions for promoting and practicing healthy and safe lifestyles of youth in local self-governments that are adjusted to the needs of all categories of youth (participation in the construction of outdoor gyms, open spaces for recreational activities, cycling and jogging tracks, etc.),
– Developing one or more programs and establishing sustainable and cost-effective youth services (career service, info service, volunteer service, health counseling service, etc.).
The maximum grant amount is 3 million dinars.
Projects must be completed by December 10, 2020.
The local self-governmental units that have established a Youth Office in accordance with Article 22, para 2 of the Law may apply.
It is recommended that one local governmental unit participates in the competition with one program or project, which fulfills one of the objectives of the call.
