Belgrade – In order to improve the social welfare system in the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs issued a public call to support the project activities aimed at:

1. Organizing educational, cultural-educational and sporting activities and events that contribute to the psycho-physical development of children, improve the quality of their upbringing and socialization, especially of children with intellectual and physical disabilities, children without parental care and children from socially disadvantaged families;

2.  Improving material and technical conditions of the associations dealing with the protection of families and children, the issues of violence and abuse in the family by providing a variety of services to the women and children who are victims of domestic violence;

3. Humanitarian, cultural-educational and training activities in order to protect, support and assist people with disabilities and people from socially disadvantaged families and other marginalized groups.  

The funds for grants for funding the projects aimed at improving the social protection system, in the amount of 5,000,000.00 dinars (five million dinars), are provided by the Law on the Budget  of the Republic of Serbia for 2018.   

The applicants may be:

1. Registered associations of citizens based in the Republic of Serbia

2. The associations which are directly responsible for the preparation and implementation of the projects.

 The documents necessary for applying can be downloaded on the website of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Affairs www.minrzs.gov.rs and on the e-government portal www.euprava.gov.rs .

Project proposals should be submitted by November 21, 2018.
