The Ministry of Economy issued a public call for participating in the Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment Promotion Program, which is implemented by the Office for Public Investment Management, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia and with the expert support of KFW.
The Ministry of Economy issued a public call for participating in the Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment Promotion Program, which is implemented by the Office for Public Investment Management, in cooperation with the Development Fund of the Republic of Serbia and with the expert support of KFW.
The total funds available for the implementation of the program are 300,000,000.00 dinars Out of the aforementioned funds, 250,000,000.00 dinars is earmarked for the implementation of the program, while the amount of 50,000,000.00 dinars is earmarked for the costs of hiring an implementing partner and for the implementation of training and mentoring programs.
The Ministry of Economy invites all interested micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs to apply for participating in the Program.
The overall objective of the Program is to encourage the development of entrepreneurship through integrated support for the establishment of new businesses. That would provide the conditions for creating sustainable growth and employment.
The specific objectives of the Program are:
• Systematic promotion of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for the purpose of improving self-employment opportunities
• Making personal income
• Supporting entrepreneurship for women, young people and social entrepreneurship.
MSMEs and entrepreneurs have the right to apply for a loan with a partner bank, as well as for grants. The program also encourages funding for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35, women entrepreneurs, returnees and entrepreneurs investing in the agricultural sector. MSMEs and entrepreneurs must be beginners in the business. If a business entity already conducts business operations, it cannot have existed longer than 24 months at the time of application.

The call for participating in the Program is open until the funds from the Program are spent, but not later than December 31, 2019.
