The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government issued a public call for applications for local self-governmental units for part of the funds from the Budget’s Fund for the Local Self-Government Program.

Distribution of the funds is done with the aim of achieving the following objectives:

1. Participation in the provision of the missing part of the funds, in full or in part, for the realization of new or completion of already started projects financed from the budget of the local self-governmental unit, which are of particular importance for local economic development, investments and employment in the local self-governmental unit.  These are: infrastructure projects of local self-governmental units (construction, reconstruction, upgrading, rehabilitation and adaptation of communal infrastructure, facilities-buildings of local self-governmental units, school facilities, facilities of pre-schools and other educational institutions, cultural facilities, sports facilities, works on city squares and parks, public lighting and video surveillance, and marketplace works).

The total amount of distributed funds for achieving this goal is 364,000,000.00 dinars.

2. Provision of financial, technical and other assistance with the aim of faster and better introduction of e-Government and modern information technologies in order to improve and modernize the work of local self-governmental bodies, as well as technical conditions for electronic connection with governmental and other bodies and organizations.   

The total amount of distributed funds for achieving this goal is 52,000,000.00 dinars.

3. Assisting the local self-governmental unit with organizing cultural, sports, tourism and other events of particular importance to the citizens in its territory, as well as adequate access to the buildings of public office for persons with special needs.  

The total amount of distributed funds for achieving this goal is 46,800,000.00 dinars. 

4. Providing financial assistance to local self-governmental units with implementing the projects that contribute to preventive actions for reducing the risk of climate change, as well as natural and other disasters, all with the aim of protecting the property interests of local self-governmental units and citizens.

The total amount of distributed funds for achieving this goal is 46,800,000.00 dinars.
